Misool dive sites — soft coral cathedrals
Southern Region · Protected MPA

Misool Dive Sites

The southern of Raja Ampat's "Four Kings". Limestone islands surrounded by some of the most biodiverse reefs on Earth — protected by the 1,220 km² Misool Marine Reserve. Soft coral cathedrals, dramatic karst topography.

A Protected Sanctuary

Misool sits south of the Bird's Head Peninsula, protected by a network of no-take zones enforced by the Misool Foundation since 2007. The result: staggering soft coral density and some of the most vibrant reefs on the planet. Logistics require a 9–11 night voyage (8–10h crossing from Sorong) — the investment is rewarded with access to sites of unparalleled health.
