Your week-long odyssey navigates the southern archipelago of Misool — a 1,220 km² Marine Protected Area established in 2007 — then ascends north through the Dampier Strait. The most complete diving expedition we offer in a single-region focus.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

A high-intensity dive schedule of 3–4 immersions per day, including night dives. Repositioning crossings happen overnight to maximize daylight diving.

Day 1

Sorong → Misool Threshold

SOQ arrival, transfer to phinisi, welcome briefing. Overnight 10–12h crossing south to Misool. Optional check-out dive (10–15m) near Dampier on arrival evening.

Day 2

Misool's Northern Majesty

Boo Windows swim-throughs at 20–25m. Magic Mountain manta cleaning station — both M. alfredi and M. birostris. Afternoon kayak through limestone lagoons + ancient cave paintings. Night dive reveals nocturnal hunters.

Day 3

South Misool's Pelagic & Macro

Nudi Rock + Vrenel's Fissure. Pygmy seahorses, ornate ghost pipefish, harlequin shrimp on macro dives at 15–20m. Wider sites attract grey reef sharks and Napoleon wrasse. Afternoon village visit.

Day 4

Crossing to Central & Manta Encounters

8–10h cruise to the Fam Islands. Melissa's Garden hard coral fields at 10–25m. Dedicated manta cleaning station observation at 5–18m — oceanic mantas with 4m+ wingspans. Wayag viewpoint trek.

Day 5

Dampier Strait's Abundance

Cape Kri — 374-species record site. Schools of fusiliers, snappers, trevally; patrolling reef sharks; barracudas. Currents to 3 knots make these thrilling drift dives. Arborek Jetty macro session. Optional pearl farm visit.

Day 6

Batanta's Secluded Beauty

Blue Magic + Sardine Reef — pelagic action and dense biomass. Batanta optional jungle trek to a waterfall (45 min each way). Final dives planned for no-fly window. Farewell dinner with crew photographer slideshow.

Day 7

Disembarkation & Farewell

Dock back in Sorong. Final breakfast on board, optional last-minute souvenir time. Smooth SOQ transfer for outbound flights.
